What's in a name?
I am an interdisciplinary artist and clinical herbalist devoted to the intersection of social and environmental justice. My work spans a variety of media, including painting, photography, short film, activism, and herbalism. My artistic endeavors have shown internationally and have been featured in the New York Times. I have extensive administrative experience with art, justice, and education based organizations and nonprofits, ranging from grassroots collectives to medium sized institutions. Organizationally, I facilitated the growth of the world’s first queer museum (Leslie-Lohman Museum) and managed mural programs for detained young people on Riker’s Island (Groundswell). More recently, I was Program Director and Creative Strategist for a radical youth art school (Scribble). I am currently in private practice as an artist and trauma-informed clinical herbalist in effort to lessen the divide between humans and the environment through the healing exchange.
